Originally built in the 1500's the pub has developed from a blacksmiths being the mid way point between Southampton and London, into a hostelry serving ale to the passing trade. Today the Coach & Horses sits in an idyllic surrounding away from the main travel route. The Coach & Horses internally is comprised of two small snug bars each with their own open fire and wood burner. A comfortable friendly bar area with blackboards listing future events and daily food specials. Our 30 seat dining room is ideal for a relaxed evening meal with friends, a romantic candlelit dinner for two or an informal lunch for casual dining or business meetings alike. We can also cater for larger parties or private dining by prior arrangement. We are also lucky to boast two beer gardens. To the rear a beautiful English countryside landscape and the front positioned in the heart of our rural village location. Both gardens provide ample seating and are a quiet peacehaven away from the normal daily rush. Chris & Kelly pride themselves on their open to all approach and are very welcoming to children and dogs alike. We provide plenty of water bowls and Kelly is often seen laden with dog biscuits and pigs ears to treat our four legged friends! Our only polite request is that each owner clears up any mess and refrains from allowing their dog to roam while people are dining. |
