GOOD PUB GUIDE 2010

NEW NEWS - We have today learnt that the Coach & Horses has made it into the Good Pub Guide. We have worked particularly hard over the past two years to put the Coach firmly back onto the map as well as develop it as a stronger community led pub. Acknowledgement into a best selling guide book is fantastic news for us.

Good Pub Guide 2010 - comment

Individual furnishings and log fires in two beamed front rooms, hard working young couple doing good value locally sourced home-made food from lunchtime sandwiches up. Well kept Badger Ales, daily papers, games; children and dogs welcome, tables out at front and in back garden, pretty flower tubs and baskets, shop selling basic provisions, open all day weekends.

AMEX PAYMENTS

Due to an overwhelming number of requests we are now in a position to accept American Express payments.

WINNER!!!

We have today received some fantastic news, we have been awarded Regional Winner for "BEST BUSINESS INNOVATION" in the Hall & Woodhouse Tenanted Awards 2009.

This achievement has been awarded due to the successful installation and operation of our Village Stores concept. The idea itself was generated one wintery Sunday afternoon after a discussion with many local regulars who commented on the lack of a general stores in the village. It quickly became obvious that the pub could double up and help local villagers with the day to day essentials.

This idea has slowly grown and now includes, daily essentials such as local eggs, milk, stamps and potatoes as well as logs, coal and kindling, off sale wine and beer deals and take away fish and chips

This is a great award to receive and we are particularly proud that we have managed to do so well this year with so many external factors seeming to harm the business. Thank you to all concerned.
